Four Events. One Property. Hundreds of Inspired Employees.
How One Company Pulled Off Four Seamless Events at Ocean Edge
See how global TMT consulting firm Altman Solon brought four distinct corporate events — from a DE&I conference to a family engagement day — to Ocean Edge Resort on Cape Cod.
When global telecommunications, media, and technology strategy consulting firm Altman Solon needed to bring together employees from across the Americas for a series of high-impact programs, they chose Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club as their home base. The result: four distinct events, one cohesive experience, and a team that left impressed from every angle.
A Multi-Program Visit with Real Range
Altman Solon didn't come to Ocean Edge for a single meeting. They came for four — each with its own objectives, audiences, and energy.
Women at Altman Solon Conference: The firm's Women's employee resource group gathered for a full day of training, networking, and team building. The goal was direct: connect women across the organization in a meaningful way, not just a meeting-room way.
Analytics & Innovation Team Workshop: This group tackled a hands-on "vibe coding" exercise combining hard skills training with collaborative team building — a format that required both focused workspace and room for creative problem-solving.
Senior Consultant Summit for the Americas: Senior consultants from across the Americas convened for structured problem-solving training. This session demanded a setting that could hold both the gravitas of a high-stakes professional gathering and the practical needs of intensive training facilitation.
Employee and Family Engagement Event: Consulting runs on long hours and tight deadlines. This event was designed as a deliberate counterweight — a program that brought in employees' families and children to acknowledge and celebrate the people behind the work.
What Made It Work: The Staff
Across all four events, one theme emerged repeatedly in feedback from Altman Solon's HR Manager Lisa and Global DE&I Lead Gabby: the Ocean Edge team.
"Every staff member was 10 out of 10 from top to bottom," Lisa noted. The recognition was specific: Jen at the front desk handled the complexities of a large group with efficiency and warmth. Megan in banquets absorbed last-minute changes without friction. AV coordinator Lexi was a steady, skilled partner throughout. Alina and Areeya from the events team responded to every request — including the ones the client worried might be "too much to ask" — with an easy "our pleasure."
The team's responsiveness extended beyond individual interactions. Communication was consistent and proactive: Altman Solon always knew who was available and when, which matters enormously when you're coordinating multiple programs across multiple days.
Housekeeping was friendly and personable. Bartenders brought genuine energy. And when Stephen on the activities side went out of his way to purchase prizes for the photo scavenger hunt and trivia competitions — events Gabby said guests absolutely loved — it landed as the kind of above-and-beyond gesture that people remember.
"Any time you're running a program, there are going to be hiccups," Lisa acknowledged. "But every hiccup had an easy remedy. The team was communicative, adaptable, and kind."
The Property as Partner
Beyond the staff, the resort itself played a meaningful role in the visit's success. The accommodations were spacious — genuinely so, which mattered for the family event, where guests needed room for kids and partners alongside colleagues. The pools and beach access added a natural decompression point between sessions.
The Carriage House and the Grand Ballroom gave the group the right spaces for the right moments: intimate enough for focused work, grand enough for full-group gatherings.

On the F&B side, a significant volume of dietary restriction requests came in across the four events. All were accommodated — no exceptions, no complications noted.
And Todd, the resort's pickleball instructor, earned his own mention by name.
The Takeaway
Altman Solon came to Ocean Edge with a complex ask: four events, varied audiences, and real stakes at each one. What they found was a property and a team that could scale to meet all of it — and make the people doing the hard work feel genuinely looked after.
For corporate groups navigating the challenge of building community, celebrating employees, and delivering meaningful programming all at once, that combination is rare. At Ocean Edge, it's the standard.
